0811 Still Cut
2010's most anticipated MBC Wed-Thurs mini series 'Playful Kiss' released its still cut of that 'playful kiss'.
The shooting for this still cut was shot on August 3 at a particular studio in Seoul. On this day, almost all main casts like Kim HyunJoong, Jung Somin, Lee Taesung, Yoon Seungah, Hong Yunhwa, Jang Ahyoung, Annyong bada etc were present, but the highlight of it all has got to be that shooting of 'playful kiss' which will be shown in latter half of drama. Considering the secrecy of this scene, only the main personnels were allowed to be onlookers in the room on that day.
The K-version of 'Playful Kiss' does deep research into the pros and cons from the original J-version and Tw-version, they do not let go of even the slightest detail such as the position their fingers should be placed at in order to keep the closest as possible to the 'playful kiss' concept, which they did so by bringing out the exact same feeling. For instance, the way/position Kim HyunJoong holds onto Jung Somin's arms, etc, his natural leading with experience gained from 'Boys over Flowers' gave rise to a loving presence of his character, which at once, warmed the atmosphere in the studio.
On the other hand, on this day's secrecy shoot, both of them were told to show the feel of to-kiss and not-to-kiss. A personnel who was onlooking by on this day told them to do it "a little more!" which caused bursts of laughters. Jung Somin, who still calls HyunJoong by sunbae-nim, expressed with her burst-through beauty smile, "I've been reading the original manga often, and is now submerged in Hani. Right now, I'm living as Hani, so my kiss scenes are definitely the portrayal of Hani who loves Seungjo single-heartedly", giving icing explanation to her role.
MBC mini Wed-thurs series 'Playful kiss' which has been receiving high attention domestically and internationally from the moment it was decided for adaption to casting, is now in midst of official shooting. This MBC mini series which revolves around the candy-sweet homemate romance of both protagonists will be aired on September 1 at 9.55PM.

Protagonist of MBC new series 'Playful kiss' Kim HyunJoong dwelved into script study.
In the drama, Kim HyunJoong plays the role Baek Seung-jo who possesses beauty, knowledge and skills, who is well-loved and highly sought after. Whatever it may be, so long as he sees it once, he will be able to understand and remembers in his brain. This genius character is able to read across 20K number of characters in just 1 minute, and he could also memorize about 400 words/phrases simultaneously. With such a role he has to play, HyunJoong is certainly given the task to memorize and go under study, which is what makes his role so different from the others'.
Group Eight personnel, "Because Baek Seung-jo is a genius in the drama, there's alot of 'professional' content in each and every area that requires his professional knowledge. In the upper part of drama, most content will include knowledge of Mathematics, Science formulas, general knowledge, etc. And that's why memorizing and studying of this drama's script takes up alot more time than other dramas".
Like what G8 personnel has said, ranging from the LOG formulas in Mathematics to nutrition/dietetics, architecture, hanja (chinese characters) idioms, "Baek Seung-jo is just like a walking encyclopaedia". And with that, it's obvious how stressful it could be for Kim HyunJoong to do this every day.
They added on, "In the beginning, we were quite worried because these are difficult words that most people don't use in daily lives. But because of HyunJoong's personality which will not hesitate to try out new and different challenges, he treat it like absorbing new knowledge and goes by rehearsing his script that way". Besides diligently memorizing his scripts, HyunJoong also has been practising tennis. Because his character is the national player type, HyunJoong's also been taking private lessons from professional tennis coaches for that.
Drama airs September 1.

Photos of the first filming for MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday mini series ‘Mischievous Kiss’ by Kim HyunJoong and Jung SoMin have been released.
According to production team Group Eight, Kim HyunJoong acts as Baek SeungJo and Jung SoMin acts as Oh HaNi in ‘Mischievous Kiss’, started their very first filming on 24-Jul at a residential area in SungBok-dong, Seoul. In this filming, scenes of both of them bickering while on their way to school are being recorded. Group Eight released this set of photos to the public on 26-Jul.
Group Eight said “Kim HyunJoong and Jung SoMin who have worked together in practicing with their scripts earlier on, when they got into the filming site, the staffs applause to congratulate both of them for the commencement of the real filming. Kim HyunJoong and Jung SoMin responded with bright smiles.”
In addition, they added “That day’s filming is about SeungJo and HaNi, who started to cohabit by chance, was squabbling on their way to school. We also captured SeungJo’s cold unfriendly looks where he told her to pretend that they don’t know each other in school, and HaNi’s sullen looks when she grumbles about SeungJo, this is also known as the start of their sweet romance in the future.”
Kim HyunJoong expressed his determination about this drama with the start of the filming.
Kim HyunJoong said “Today is the first filming, upon hearing the cue sign from the director, then only did I have the actual feeling that the filming has really started.” He also emphasized “Today I have been reborn again, not as Boys Over Flower’s Yoon JiHoo but as Mischievous Kiss’s Baek SeungJo, with the excitement and sense of responsibility, I will make this the best drama.”
Jung SoMin revealed “I am someone who looks into the eyes of others when I am talking, the Director always looked into my eyes and gave me guidance, I can really feel his focus towards the actors/actress. Instead of perfect acting skills since I am still a rookie, I will show a non-stereotyped and innocent side of me.”

[기사] 1st Shooting 22nd
Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min will be beginning the shooting for MBC drama 'Playful Kiss' soon.
On the 21st with a phone interview with Newsen, a drama related personnel revealed that both of them will begin first day shooting on 22nd. They have been preparing alot for this.
'Playful Kiss' is adapted from the original same-name Japanese manga titled 'Itazura na kiss'. Kim Hyun Joong will be portraying the male protagonist Baek Seung Jo, whilst rookie actress Jung So Min will be portraying the female protagonist Oh Ha Ni.
Both Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min had held several meetings together inclusive of script reading before official shooting will start, that's done so as to further progress in chemistry since it will be their first time working alongside each other. Especially for Jung So Min's case, even before she could finish filming for 'Bad Guy', she's already decided for her next project, which just proved the potential in her in future days to come.
This drama will air on September 1. (9.55pm, MBC, Wed & Thurs)
