This is another interview done last week. It is essence, and as one reads, it is easy to be attracted to the definition of aspiration.

about KyuJong:

1) 그보다 약간 앞서 SS501의 김규종 역시 연기에 도전했다. 종합편성채널 TV조선 ‘고봉실 아줌마 구하기’(극본 박은령, 연출 윤상호). 김형준처럼 타이틀롤은 아니지만, 김해숙 독고영재 천호진 등 대선배들과 같이 하는 그 역시 부담감은 클 터. 두 사람은 서로를 격려하고 응원하며 전보다 더욱 돈독해졌다.

Before him, another fellow SS501 member Kim KyuJong had also challenged acting; it was through a cable channel TV Chosun's "Go Bongshil Ajumma'. Unlike Kim Hyung Jun, his (KyuJong's) wasn't the title role, but since having to act alongside major seniors like Kim Haesuk, Dokgo Youngjae, Chun Hojin etc, he (KyuJong) too must have felt huge burden. Along the way as both of them constantly encouraged and supported each other, unknowingly, they have become much more closer than before.



2) “규종이와는 자주 연락하고 가장 많이 보는 멤버 중 하나예요. 서로 첫 방송을 모니터 해주면서 부족한 부분을 조언해주죠. 둘다 첫 작품이라 부담스럽고 긴장되기 때문에 응원하며 격려하고 있죠. 정말 큰 힘이 돼요”

"Among the members whom I meet most and contact most frequently, KyuJong is one of them. When both of our dramas first aired, we monitored over each other's and also gave many comments and suggestions on areas that lacked. It was the first for both of us so it was natural that we will feel stressed and nervous, but because we both cheered on and encouraged each other, it became a real strength for (us)".




about SS:

3) 연기자로 변신한 김형준을 필두로 SS501의 멤버들은 각자 자신의 위치에서 제 몫을 하고 있다.

“가 수, 무대에 대한 아쉬움도 있는 것이 사실이죠. 좀 더 많은 정규 음반을 내고 더 활발하게 활동 했으면 좋았을 텐데 하는 생각들. 하지만 지금은 멤버들이 각자의 자리에서 제 몫을 다 하고 있는 것 같아서 뿌듯하고 든든해요. 다들 솔로 활동이 쉽지 않을 텐데, 대견하고 기특한 마음도 있고요(웃음)”

Including Kim Hyung Jun who has now transformed into an actor, all SS501 members are also doing their individual activities on their own part right now.

"It is a fact that (us) singers feel this certain upsetness about the stage. Thoughts like if only we had released more full albums and did more active promotions back when we could. But as our members are doing our individual activities on each of our parts now, it's quite heart-warming and reassuring about that to see, too. It isn't easy doing solo activities for us all, so I think it really was quite applauding and commendable about that (the fact of doing solo activities on own) (laughs)".



about Japan plays:

4) 또 그는 일본 공연에 대한 다부진 포부도 잊지 않았다. “지난해 일본에서 20회 공연”을 했다는 김형준. 열광적으로 응원해주고 지지해주는 일본 팬들에 대한 감사함을 늘 가슴 속에 품고 있기에 2012년 역시, 특별한 무대를 선사하기 위해 준비 중이다.

“현 지 공연을 많이 하다 보니 일본 팬분들도 많이 좋아해주시는 것 같고, 저 역시도 뿌듯하고 감격스러워요. 공연은 어떻게든 관객들을 또 오게 만드는 매력, 힘이 있어야 하잖아요. 그래서 다음번에는 좀 더 많은 것들을 기획하고 싶어요. 지금부터 조금씩 구상해야 겠죠”

In addition, he did not forget about the goals he set for his plays (concert/shows) in Japan. He "did 20 plays in Japan last year". He embraces the gratitude he feels towards his Japanese fans who are always there supporting and cheering on for him passionately, so that is why in 2012 too, he will also exhibit yet another special stage(s) for them. He is already preparing.

"I did many plays there, our Japanese fans seem to like it very much, and me myself too, feels proud about it and also moved. A play must have the charm and power to make its audiences want to return to watch again, isn't it. So that's why for my next play, I would like to plan for more things (to be included). I have to now start planning bit by bit".




about Jang Keun-suk:

4) 그런 의미에서 그에게 장근석은 배울 것이 참 많은 친구이자 같은 길을 걷는 동료다. 드라마를 시작하기 전에도 조언을 많이 얻었고, 일본 공연 역시 보고 배우는 것이 많다.

“드라마를 시작한다고 했을 때 (장)근석이가 조언을 많이 해줬어요. 그 친구에게 많은 것을 배우고 있어요. 마음가는대로 하는 자유로운 영혼이지만, 자신이 해야 할 일을 꼭 해내고 마는 멋진 친구기도 하죠. 요즘엔 드라마 이야기를 많이 물어보고요. 서로 비슷한 부분도 많기 때문에 연기에 대한 조언 외에도 마음 속 깊은 이야기를 털어놓기도 합니다”


Speaking of which, it reminded him of Jang Keunsuk. To him, Jang Keunsuk is a friend whom he can learn very much from, and is also a colleague who's treading a same path as he is. Before he (Hyung Jun) started his drama, he has had received many advices from Keunsuk, and even for the Japan concert plays too, he has been learning alot from Keunsuk's by watching his.

"When I said I was going to do a drama, Keunsuk gave many advices. I'm learning alot from this friend. He is a so-cool friend who may be very free-spirited and carefree, doing as his heart yearns, but for matters that he must complete, he will put forth his best to complete those. These days I have been consulting alot of his help about doing dramas. I guess it's because we have alot of similarities, so besides chatting about acting, we also share deep heart-felt talks".



about message to fans:

5) “팬들에게는 항상 감사합니다. SS501을 좋아하고 무대의 모습을 보고 싶어하는 이들에게는 미안한 마음도 있지만, 더욱 노력해서 다른 모습으로 보답하고 싶어요. 드라마를 찍을 때도 큰 힘이 돼줘서 마음 속 깊이 고맙고, 팬들에게 보답하는 길은 열심히 하는 것밖에는 없다고 생각해요. 늘 팬들의 마음을 잊지 않고, 되새기고 있어요”

"I am always thankful to our fans. Though I also feel somewhat apologetic towards those who love SS501 and hope to see on stage, I also wish to repay by working harder to show a different side of mine. Thank you to them from the deepest of my heart for becoming such a strong force of support while I'm shooting the drama, and so the only way I think to repay our fans would be to work hard and still work hard. I never forget our fans' love as I remeditate it in my heart all the while".

★When he was shooting the bed scene in drama, he was extremely shy. However his mother, friends and people around him told him it was quite alright. His fans used to be very extreme against those, but he suggests that now they may already have grown and aged so they did not really react too strongly when the scene was aired.


★He aims to release 2nd solo album by this upper-half-2012. For it, he wishes to get No.1 on music programmes and music charts.


★One of his biggest goal is to be well acclaimed by the masses before he reaches 30 to enter military. Where the masses' impression of him would be like, "Whether it be singer or actor, Kim Hyung Jun has no lacking-of anywhere!"



☆In other interviews, he also mentioned that he hopes to do another minimum 1 drama or maximum 2 more dramas in this year. Another rom-com first before he will proceed to try on a different genre of role in maybe 3rd drama! He wants to solid his base as an actor because he's falling in love with acting!

SS501's Kim Hyung Jun who's had captivated the passion of Japan as a Hanryu singer 4 years ago is feeling awe-inspiring recently. With a new title as Singer Kim Hyung Jun, he ambitiously released his first perfectly done solo album as he gives an undertaking to make his new stepping-out. However, his priority is something else. Because of the Japan big earthquake, his worry for fans is significant too. He wants very much to reciprocate the love he's received from Japanese fans as one member of SS501.

Before he began the interview on his solo album, he did not forget to show his worry for Japanese fans first, "Because we've gotten so much love from Japan, I need to start planning real soon on an event to mourn for the Japanese citizens, no matter in what format it shall be". His solo album that was sincerely prepared may be important, but his concern for Japanese fans is what makes him heart-warming to us.

Kim Hyungjun described his feelings of going solo as "the feeling of debuting again". He who has turned from the maknae in his group to a solo singer now made us hear animation in his voice. His 4 other members who were always beside him are not present now, but he has with himself every day the determination of going towards a new beginning, and this determination is the same as what a newbie would have when he/she just debuts. Kim Hyungjun who illuminated gleam in his eyes calls this his '2nd debut', and no sooner than later, he stood on the stages, again.

(Q) First of all you're now standing on stage alone and not as five. How do you feel?

(A) I'm not really that kind who gets nervous easily, but I don't know why I feel very anxious this time. Not like my style right (laughs). Couldn't control my expressions properly, and felt my stiffening body when I perform on stage. Though my first stage was quite awkward and a little pitiful that way, I don't think it would affect my outlook in performing too much. You will get to see senior idol Kim Hyungjun's adept stage manners in the next performance.

(Q) What disadvantages and advantages are there if you were to compare it against SS501 days?

(A) It was always doing activities with the five of us, but now I'm turned to stand alone and though I do feel nervous, I feel great too for being able to work alongside great people. The best thing of this all is that I can get to subdue the camera all by myself. I feel very excited everyday that I'd be able to show to everyone my different profiles. Of course, that comes with huge responsibility too isn't it. My members are not with me so I need to work alot times harder right?

(Q) How did people around you & your members responded?

(A) It's already been 6 years since I began standing on stage. I was shaking furiously on my first stage but now I have got to put forth a relaxing show for all. There was a good premonition at the beginning. All people around me told me the music was good. Haha. However now that I don't have my members whom we always relied on and who always gave encouragement for one another, I feel a little empty inside me. We always play the role of support towards each other so I feel a little lonely. For this too I gotta endure it alone.

(Q) Do you contact the SS501 members often?

(A) We monitor one another and also do not hesitate at giving suggestions and comments to one another. We may be in different agencies for now, but we do come frank during discussions on which period to carry out activities at and the concept we'll use. We joke about doing that in a way our personal activities won't clash. Especially Park Jungmin who sent his support all the way by visiting my music video shooting location and also came as a guest to my fanmeeting venue. Our members are originally skilled by nature, so even if we were to stand forth alone, all of us will be able to do it well enough.

(Q) What is it you have in mind the most when you're doing activities alone?

(A) More than anything else I want to let know of a brand called Kim Hyungjun. It will be something that only I can do it, no matter what it may be, and I want to show it to people. I want to make it in a way that it will be oozing with a very liberated atmosphere once Kim Hyungjun appears. That's why I wore many different outfits such as training uniform, formal suits etc and showed my various profiles in the album; similarly in music wise, I also showed a huge change. It's really quite different from the strong stage atmosphere that SS501 had. Vocal-wise and stage-wise, there was less strength used and instead it was filled with a lighter spirit in the atmosphere. I want to become a dance singer who has with me my unique characteristics, only.

(Q) If there are any distinctive features in this album?

(A) From hit song producer E-Tribe to rapper Dokki and all other skilled veteran musicians who haven't been able to collaborate during SS501 days have all worked alongside me this time. Dance song 'Girl' is my most favorited song and it was released first, while the song produced by E-Tribe hyungs that carried with it a unique feel was then selected to be my title track. If it has a popular melody, it'll be easier to get the attention of audiences first. I also tried my part at being a lyricist for 2 songs. Because this is MY album, I want to fill to my heart's content with words that I want to say.

(Q) DBSG who used to carry their activities alongside you all is now divided into two people; how do you feel?

(A) It's a pity, but I feel they will work out well. Many past memories float in mind alot these days.

(Q) Do you have any new determination on any thing, now that you're doing activities alone?

(A) First of all, I'm determined to no longer hold that tinge of shyness when I'm on stage. When I go on music programmes, I do start to feel my status as a senior. I hope to make it to an extend like, when juniors see me perform, they will feel proud and envious about me at the same time.

(Q) What comes onto mind when you see idols these days?

(A) When they go on to music programmes, they mix around friendly and seem to bond very well, and upon seeing that I felt glad. When I was doing activities back then at our best state there were so many male groups, but these days, it's girl groups ruling the way. They even exchange phone numbers. They look to be really bonding well.


(Q) If you were to say something to your Japanese fans with regards to this time's big earthquake?

(A) SS501 invaded into Japan since 2008 and has been receiving alot of love from Japanese fans. Though our members are now dispersed across here and there ever since the end of our full time contract last June with former agency, our members and I hope to give our helping hand in a mourning manner in order to thank the love we've received from our Japanese fans. My schedules in Japan may have been announced already but of course it needs to be pushed back. Instead concern was shown for me and I feel nothing but gratitude. Luckily our fans are safe and sound, and instead they worried for me. Once again, thank you to the infinite love from our fans.

(Q) What's your aim for this year?

(A) I want to receive the Bonsang award with my solo album this year. First and foremost would be to stand up high in this music industry with my name. But still, I hope to do activities in Japan as soon as possible, and also juggle musical activities. I want to do many different activities.

Male group quintet SS501's member Kim Hyungjun (24) has now stood forth alone.

Kim Hyungjun who's returned to the music industry after a year with his first solo mini album 'My Girl'. It's his first time doing solo activities so he does feel anxious but still, at every point during the interview, he showed confidence. Last 10th on cable channel Mnet's 'MCountdown', Kim Hyungjun did not feel the emptiness left by his members and had put forth a perfect comeback stage. He succeeded in conquering the audiences with a conceptual and more powerful stage than the one he had shown with his members.

Kim Hyungjun said, "The charisma and power that our members have portrayed will now be undertaken by me solely. I will show to you a stage that does not lack in anywhere at all", as he poured his overflowing aspiration.

(Q) You've made your comeback after a year.

(A) It's been a long while since I've returned to the music industry, and I've apparently turned into a senior already. It's the age now for me to accept juniors already. The ranking of this and that has turned so high and I'm amazed. Not long ago I went to music programme and I saw G.Na, IU and Dalshabet. They're really cute. I was very delighted but in order to show my grand profile as a senior, I tried to show a state of composure towards them. (meaning trying to act cool ha ha ha ha)

(Q) The album jacket is unique.

(A) It is my solo album but I want to express the fact that I'm a member of SS501. Even if people may be looking at the album jacket only, they will have the thought like, 'Ah SS501's member Kim Hyungjun is having his solo activity now huh', that kind, and for that, I had put in alot of effort to try to achieve that thought in people. I did the design for the jacket. One who has properly morphed from five people (SS501), that kind of meaning.

(Q) Response for title song 'oH! aH!' was good.

(A) Though oH! aH! is an exciting dance song but it isn't that kind of popular hook song of these days. Fans hoped for a more popular song where they could hum after to sing but I wanted to show a song with a new type of style. I worried if people would find me too stuck-up with desire, but since response for it was good, I'm glad.

(Q) It was singing along with five of you all, but now that you're to sing it alone it's gonna be hard.

(A) You gotta dance and sing the full song altogether so it's very tough. When you stand onto stage you feel nervous and then on top of that you need to coordinate it well together, the chemistry can seem to easily lessen. All our solo dance singers are awesome.

(Q) It's your first time doing solo activity. What's different from doing activities with your group?

(A) Lonely. When the car is moving from one place to another or when I'm resting, my members are not with me and I feel bored. And on stage, when I think about it, I feel emptiness. It hasn't been long since I made my comeback so I think of this as my adjusting period.

(Q) When will we be able to see SS501 standing together on stage again.

(A) All our agencies are different and all our personal activities are very tight and busy, so we still weren't able to discuss about this in detail. However our plan as of now is to release an album within this year. When SS501 appears, all other groups have gotta tighten themselves and get anxious already. Because SS501 isn't a group to prepare sloppishly for their comeback. Haha.

(Q) Do you contact often with your members.

(A) Busy so although we do meet at times, we also contact each other often. We sometimes meet up over drinks.

(Q) Your character business is flourishing.

(A) It's truly beyond my expectation. Thanks to my brother Kibum that's why it's flourishing. Kibum even did the packaging of products himself, and also stuffed the cottonwool into the toys. The character cushions that were supplied to us and meant to be sold over 1 year has been sold out in only 2~3 months. Response in Japan and China is good too. Not long ago we also recruited 2 employees who are good in foreign language. We'll start on aggressive overseas sales too. After the character 'Piro Piro' that was already released first, will be followed by another character 'Siro Siro'. Our company is filled with the Festival Atmosphere. Haha.

(Q) How do you distribute the profits raked in from your business.

(A) I give it all to my brother. Because he's the one working more aggressively his guts out for this.

(Q) Your brother Kibum withdrew from U-KISS. How will his future broadcast activities turn out like?

(A) He's looking for an agency that will blend in well with him. Should there be any good agency for him, he'll start his broadcast activities thereafter. It'll be good if Kibum could succeed at first go, but I hope for him to become a singer who develops better and better over each stage by each step consistently.


(Q) You seemed to have worried alot because of the Japan big earthquake.

(A) I wanted to leave a piece on twitter regarding the earthquake victims but I don't know how to write and what to write so I couldn't. But I will leave a piece on my official Japanese homepage. I'm discussing with my agency on how to help with this. I've received alot of love from Japanese fans. And it's the time now for me to repay that love.

(Q) Aren't you gonna love.

(A) Lonely. I really don't have a girlfriend. I gave up on love. I'm thinking if I should get matchmaked and then get married when I turn 30. Haha.

(Q) What's your aim for the year.

(A) I have plans to do aggressive activities overseas like in China, etc. Also have plans to do a solo concert at the end of the year. I will need to sing throughout a full 2 hours so I will be seemingly releasing many albums in this year. 2011 will turn to be an extremely busy year for me.

[article] Jungmin :: SS501 is not my rival @ 26/JAN

The most beautiful group when all five were as one. Now, it's not as five; but shared as one or as two. Last June when SS501 whose full time contract with DSP Media was up, did not sign on to a new contract with DSP Media. Members Hyunjoong, Jungmin, Hyungjun turned to stand on sole feet, while Youngsaeng and Kyujong moved to a new agency company as all of them began to shoulder troubles on their own as solo musicians. Without his 4 other intimate members, Park Jungmin has returned alone. As he poured his rythm of his heart, we listened to how he told about leaving the arms of SS501 to stand again alone on his own feet.

Our interview with Park Jungmin continued throughout without a pause. Two hours passed by in a huff with someone who was so affluent in speech. He was just like any other youth chattering on and on about his stories. If there wasn't any time restrictions for interviews, it could have just been like pure comfort listening to someone pour about his personal stories. Though he returned alone, he did not look lonely at all. In fact, even more manly now. Park Jungmin who is a part of SS501 member has came forth for the first time with his solo mini-album titled [Not Alone] as if attempting to make it known officially that he has fought off the word named 'Loneliness'. So how are his thoughts on stepping forth solo for the first time amidst his 6 years of experience in showbiz?

"The album name of 'Not Alone' simply means to want to contain the message of 'We are all not alone. We are all One'. For my case, it also contains the meaning wherein although I stepped forth alone, I will forever be a member of SS501. If you listen to the entire album, you will be able to feel that this album contains only my personal attributes and not as a concept of SS501's continuation of line. Without electronics or instruments, we tried our best to use bands and orchestras to animate the entire feel instead".

In order for Park Jungmin to create only-his attributes, the part that he had put in most effort was in the 'lyrics'. He wrote the lyrics with his imagination and personal experiences. Through the lyrics with a sentence by a sentence, a word by a word, Park Jungmin had obviously attempted to deliver his story there and then.

"When a singer sings on stage, the most important thing is to hold that sincere heart. For the fact that I decided to write the lyrics, it is for the sake of better expressing my feelings. Just like the songs 'Do you know' and 'Every day is Christmas' contained positive lyrics because I wrote them then with a serenic heart. Especially the song 'Do you know' - it was a song featuring the concept of a re-unite with the lover whom you already broke up with. I wrote the lyrics of this song in a puff upon hearing the melody of it a hundred times. It was in the feeling of a phone call conversation. There are also people who asked me if this song was written in view of feelings towards the members or not, but no it wasn't hinting at any one, it's just a story from my imagination (laughs)".

SS501 may be his forever-roots, but still he wants to create his personal character image. For the sake of transforming into 'the solo singer Park Jungmin' and not as 'SS501's Park Jungmin', he's shed 12kg of weight. With his slimmed body, he's managed to create a sharp image. Could it be for outlook transformation only? Still, you could see it as a form of stronger highlight of the feeling as 'solo singer Park Jungmin' who carries with him a rookie heart instead of that as 'SS501's Park Jungmin'.

"I went to watch past SS501 videos when I was preparing for my solo album, and I thought as I watched, 'Ah this won't do ne'. I didn't know that I was so huge in size (laughs). When there were many of us, I couldn't feel it clearly, but since I have to stand on stage alone now, I came to be worried about visuals wise. In order to slim down on my heavy body, I went on diets like diet treatments and exercising. I shed 12kg of weight, do I look different to you? (laughs)".

Park Jungmin's solo debut was full of bumps though. His album was originally scheduled to be released last November, but while he was in midst of preparing it, the North Korea's Yeonpyeong-do incident occurred, to which his album had to be inevitably postponed. There was no choice but to lay down his hands on it because it was to emphatize with the country matter. However though, it turned out that 2 months of emptiness was incurred. If you think of it negatively, you might have thought that this entire matter could almost fail through already, but for him, he thought of it in a positive light and auto-tuned his mindset. He waited, and waited - his higher goals for the completion of his album.

"I felt sad that the release had to be postponed about close to two months. But if you think of it in the opposite manner, there was more time for me to prepare and so I felt glad. The Yeonpyeong-do incident wasn't something to be happy nor laugh about, so I thought that it'd have been better as I emphatize with the country affair with the status of a citizen rather than to carry out my personal affairs. At that time I was in Japan holding my fanmeeting. Was studying alot then as I was preparing for my acoustic band performance. With the incident, it turned out as a period for me to better mature with the name as a musician to carry out activities".

While preparing for the album, the toughest part was to deal with SS501 related conjectures and unfounded rumors. Park Jungmin was dragged into the talk of town as "the cause for SS501's dispersal all around the place". Though that inflicted scars on Park Jungmin, he chose to shoulder all of these on his own. It wasn't something to have in control about where scars turn out to be inflicted on his family members SS501. He who has that strong affection for his family members strugglingly revealed talks of SS501.

"It was all along five of us, and the toughest thing was when we had to be dispersed. All kinds of thoughts came onto mind, but I managed to tune my mindset. There are many others who are more unfortunate than I am. What is mine as compared to really unfortunate matters? That thought crept through me all time long, and no sooner than later, all bad thoughts disappeared. I just want to talk about pleasant matters of SS501".

"We may all be in different agencies, but we made it a must to prioritize this one condition that we have to re-unite under the name of SS501", as Park Jungmin delivered his affections. SS501 is not his rival, but instead his companions who will be walking with him for the whole of his life -- as he clarified it.

"The five of us don't see one another as rivals. All of us must succeed, and when so, that will be the most beautiful graphic is it not. All of us have good abilities, so we're not exactly very hugely worried. All of us are working hard on our own. Results will be different with each of us as per how much sincere preparation we put in. It will be lovely if you could realize that 'Ah so there's a person called Park Jungmin' through this time's album. I wasn't the person who shone to one's eyes at first sight when I was in SS501, and I wasn't superbly outstanding with my singing as well, but now I'm working hard for that, and I want to create good results".

The title that Park Jungmin yearns for is a 'All Rounded Entertainer'. Not just as a singer, but also as an MC and actor, and he dreams to hold results in many multi fields. He also met an agency that could accompany in his strides as they walk the same pace. He moved into the new agency CNR Media which would be his full-fledged partner. CNR Media collaborates alongside Taiwan's Comic Ritz. While for his activities in Greater China region, he chose to sign on with Sony Music Asia. With these, he is now able to fly wider. Soon, he will be starring in a drama with Comic Ritz who produced Taiwan version of 'Boys over Flowers'. Starting from May onwards, he will be leaving the country for Taiwan as he stays there and starts his path as an actor.

■Year of rabbit is my year!
Park Jungmin who releases his first solo album

"My tiger-fate* this year is pretty good. I broke into laughter though. I'm not one who believes much in such tiger-fate* or tarots, even if it may be something positive".

2011 being the year of the Hare belongs to him. He who is born in 1987 has the zodiac of a Hare, which brings about huge anticipation along with him too. Beginning since last year end he's already been slowly moving his way. He published his pictorial 'Present' in Japan and even had fansigns and fanmeetings as he made known the start of his solo activities. His first solo album will be released on the upcoming 20th. The amount of matters he has to do within this year is so densely written on his schedule planner. Group SS501's Park Jungmin (24) is on his way to preview you with his soon-to-be active activities as the first solo Hare star.


▶New album too abruptly decided last year end
With a damage of about 15K, re-recording was done
Showcase tickets were sold out in just mere 14 minutes

"Will be doing my album activities in Korea in January. From mid-February onwards has been decided to carry out overseas tours in Japan and Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand. In April, I'll be shooting my drama in Taiwan. Though I will also be making my visit back to Korea for fanmeetings or birthday-wise, it seems like I'll be spending about 3 months for drama shooting over there. Also in May, my album will be released in Japan. After this, it's also expected that my album activities will be started in the greater china regions too. In the latter half of the year I'll return to Korea again and prepare for album release and new drama".

There's no sight of a pause. He calls himself as a 'lazy person', but it just looks like the year of 2011 is not a year for him to enjoy that laziness. His group SS501 that acted as his shelter has had guarded by him for the past 5 years, and won't be his shelter now, which is why he has to further self-motivate himself even more.

"I didn't want it at first ya. Probably I didn't know that I wanted to just enjoy within the group. But for the sake of each of our developments, we chose different individual paths. And to me, if I could consider this to be the momentum of my development, it'll be really good. I could just really enjoy life though but now it seems like 'standing on your own feet' has turned into the momentum to break that comfortable edge already".

Could it be that reason why he does not want to release a sloppish album. It was decided that his first solo album will be released in the form of a digital single where preparations for it was carried out since last November; however, it was inevitably delayed to February because of the 'Yeonpyeong-do Incident'. Because of this, in order to make up for the insufficiency, he wanted to take in more songs, so he thought of changing it to a mini album or an official album form. The 15K album pieces that were already printed have all gone to waste, they have all gone into the drain.

"We were rushing out the preparations and all that so there were many areas that lacked. Time was so short and schedule couldn't make way for that. Anyway this just turned out to be the start all over again. I'm the first in SS501 to release a solo album isn't it. For sure I'll feel responsibility and stress. After putting all the previous effort into the drain, we did re-recording and did re-mastering, and also re-edited the music video. It's good to even expect from these".

His album participation level is high. From the album concept to the music video idea, he's tended to it all inside and out. Even as a lyrics composer.

"I beared in mind all the time about being frank and candid (in the lyrics). I do enjoy and like it as I listen to the song with addictive lyrics that I fill in for, but I also want to create a song with a message to deliver. Title song 'Not Alone' is about a story of being estranged. Rather than having the fame, I want to show to my fans about much of my having matured up to this stage. To aptly add some flavor of the mainstream group to some non-mainstream music".

Response to his first activity is as feverish. His first showcase cum fanmeeting that will take place on the upcoming 22nd was sold out in just mere 14 minutes since its opening of tickets sales.

"Beginning this year onwards until my 30 years old, I will execute matters firmly and steadily as it is. I'm having lotsa luck coming onto my shoulders now, and so I will continue to sprint with all my might. This year is truly one year that I'm really anticipating after".


▶Personal Hopes
"Hope to move though. My contract with the house will be up this coming February so I will have to move house then. I'm thinking if I should move to a comfortable place. I realized that there are many people who prefers to live in the outer circle of the city rather than in the city. I want to give my mother who retired just last year end a small store. She does cooking very well so she's thinking of doing a small eatery business, or even a cafe or something like that. Whatever it may be, I just hope for it to be a healthy year for all my family members. And also for me Park Jungmin, I want to go closer to my fans and let more people know about me if they haven't already. All these while I've been trapped within the group too much, there is a limit to how it limits me ne. I hope for it to be a year where I could feel proud for and of".

Jungmin greets and fans and basically talks about how he is learning Japanese and also Chinese now. Everyday, he has 2 hours of lessons on Chinese. He also took out a book that contains words in Chinese (adjectives, verbs, singular words etc) showing how dilligent he is in learning now. He hopes that one day, he can speak to the chinese fans without a translator.

Jungmin also mention that he knows there are a lot of fans out of Korea waiting for him. He says that he often receives letters from Taiwanese fans writing to him in Japanese ^^

Jungmin:
I'm very honoured! To join CNR Media, this really outstanding team. I'm really excited!

Jungmin: Rather than nervous, I should say my feelings are close to shyness. Afterall, I've rest for a quite a while, plus I'm now doing the photoshoot alone. It feels like everyone are all looking at me, making me feel so embarrassed!

Other than acting, Jungmin's company in Korea is also doing very well. Is there a chance of him entering the Taiwanese market in future?

Thank you PLAY! So now I can do a promotion for myself? Everyone's attention is now on my ROYAL AVENUE, right! At the moment, the company is still in the process of growing. Already there are plans to go into markets in mainland China, Japan, Singapore & other overseas markets.

However, from what I know, at this moment we have not found any suitable person/company to work with yet.

Hopefully in future, we are able to bring to Taiwanese friends the good news!

Oh yes! Let me continue more! I want to say thank you here to many Greenpeas Princess, whom, no matter how far it is, they still come all the way to Korea. I seriously love you all!

PLAY: Speaking of his business, Jungmin has plenty of creative ideas. However, he also continuously emphasize that no matter how many new ideas that he have, none of this matters more than his artiste works, which is his number 1 priority.

After joining the new company for awhile, there's still many detailed preparations to do.

Other than learning new languages, at this moment Jung min is also having "Singing", "Dancing", "Acting" lessons. Not wasting a single minute or section, and fully in an "ON AIR"

[This year, the important wish I want to ask for during mid-autumn moon festival (Korean: CHUSEOK FESTIVAL) is...]

PLAY: As Korea is soon to celebrate CHUSEOK festival, how are you going to spend that day? Are there any plans?

Jungmin: CHUSEOK is a very important festival. On that day, we Koreans will definitely celebrate it with our family. I am now living with my father, mother and sister, therefore if there is no schedule on that day, I think I will be staying at home to help with the housework, while waiting for my big brother and his wife to bring all my nephews(and nieces) over for dinner!

After that, this year I would like to wish for an important wish in front of the mid-autumn moonlight.

About the contents of my wish....I will let all of you know in September!


PLAY: Even though he is only celebrating the festival is such a simple manner, Jungmin still continues to smile brightly, resulting in the people around to feel full of happiness.

Jungmin: Maybe it is the typical O blood type and Taurus sign! I am quite optimistic, always keeping a good and happy feeling, and facing people around me with a smile. I will feel happiness just doing that, seeing how everyone's mood is happy as well, I will be happy myself!

To be a good boss, the most important thing is knowing how to use the right person, to do the right thing.

To understand the company situation in a down-to-earth manner, it is important to always encourage the workers, and understand their point of view!

Jungmin feels that there is no other better way to let himself improve than through better understanding.

Therefore, Jungmin wants to use PLAY to convey am essage to the GREENPEA PRINCESSES: (P.S The words below are completely not from PLAY, non a single word is being cut off either)

SS501's members is going solo, but we are not disbanded. In future, we will not disband either!

Among us, other than Hyun Joong who has entered the filming of " Mischievous Kiss", Young Saeng, Hyung Jun and Kyu Jong are all in an "OFF MODE".

After all, we have been working for some years and we haven't had the chance to rest properly.

Therefore, we are using this chance to fully rest and recharge. Perhaps after that, we will have different growth in terms of thinking.

Right now, we are communicating through text messaging to let each other know each other's progress.

A few days ago, I just met Hyung Jun to have dinner!

After a while, when everyone's body and mind has received sufficient rest and preparation, we will continue to plan for 501's activities.

I promise that once there is news, we will immediately inform everyone. At that time, you all must be there!

Recently, I plan to open a FACEBOOK account. After it's completed, Princesses you all have to come take a look!

[Forever with a grateful heart, to help those who need help]

PLAY: Previously Jungmin has mentioned that his quote in life is "Forever with a grateful heart, to help those who need help"

After switching to a new company and starting his new path, Jungmin has not changed this view of his.

Jungmin: I think I will always hold on to this viewpoint throughout the rest of my life!

PLAY: Jungmin says after moving to a new home, it does not mean that he has cut off relations with his previous company (DSP). Whenever he is free, he will still return to DSP to walk around.

Other than seeing how the crew and workers are doing, Jungmin also said:

"I can also visit our juniors as well, and see if they are seriously working hard! HAHA!"

Jungmin also says that he is very grateful to DSP for grooming him. Towards this grateful feeling, he will always keep it in his heart, just like this quote in life, this will never change.

COOL music Special feature ------ SS501

Ever since SS501's 1st asia tour began, this should be the first time we really meet and talk with them face to face (previously it was always via mail), during the group's solo activities period of time in 2009, Cool magazine even managed to bribe the "trio of songs" to conduct a studio interview and photoshoot session with them in Korea. On that day, the head quarters in Shanghai made use of a camera head to take note of what's happening at the venue......and this became the toy of the crew members there, one by one began to say hi to the camera head...... laugh wackily...... make ghost faces....... and more. So when the photoshoot ended successfully, KyuJong actually invited HyungJun to go watch "Frozen Flower" (movie) (R21) together. Right after this suggestion was brought up, the studio atmosphere began litting up, the photographer ahjussi who already had catched the movie laughed wickedly, "If you all were to watch, you'd get nervous oh~~", so KyuJong asked with a puzzled look, "What's wrong? Isn't it just Jo In-sung and Joo Jin-mo?" (lol Kyujong ah sooo innocent^^) HyungJun, seeing KyuJong with a face of question marks, began laughing as well, "My friend's been to watch it, after watching he didn't came over to my place anymore, he said didn't dare to enter my room...... (outburst of laughters)"

During the solo activities period of time, besides chasing Boys over Flowers drama, Cool didn't give up chasing after JungMin-gun who was starring in a musical...... That's why the visiting-on-set occurred, that "aeroplane head" of his which just can't seem to be erased off my memory.......

Ever since SS501 began their asia tour, Cool also began its touring around in various cities....... Especially because of the HK stand, we managed to meet up with the 5 angels (devils hmm?) again. In the 2009 interview, HyunJoong caringly helped us to maintain order at the venue, he raised his voice at the crew members for a little, which led to us thinking he's indeed the "man of the men". And the 2010 maotai incident (think it's a kind of wine, not so sure) further consolidated our disorientated shackles with SS501......

Cool: This asia tour is a conclusion for all previous efforts..after this asia tour ends, what plans do you all have?

HyunJoong: I want to go to America

Cool: (shocked) Why?

HyunJoong (shaking his upper body from head to tummy-ing): I have a friend......in America......then recently.........he told me he doesn't have money anymore..........

Everyone: ....................................................................

HyunJoong: hooo~~~ so, I need to go to save him, hahahahahahahahaha.

Cool: In the promo activities for this single, we still saw everyone's active performances as always, everyone's entertainment sense is still as strong! Say something about each other.

HyunJoong: If I were to rate, I feel that the member who isn't suited to go on variety programmes the most would be.........

HyungJun (hoaxing softly): Youngsaeng-hyung Youngsaeng-hyung!

HyunJoong (ignoring): The most unsuitable one.............HyungJun!!!!!!!!

HyungJun: (opens his wide eyes oh-so-widely after recovering from shock) Omo~!!

HyunJoong: Actually, the one most suitable to go variety programmes is YoungSaeng, because usually his words won't get edited out, will always get broadcasted; whilst HyungJun's words will generally get edited out with more than half the amount, and wouldn't get broadcasted (Jungmin already laughing uncontrollaby at the back, almost got cramps)........mmm yeah..... anyway in conclusion ----- what HyungJun says is very lame!!

HyungJun: Ahh jjinja, why like that, I cannot take it anymore!!

HyunJoong: Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha..... (ignoring).......

SS501’s Fabulous Concert in Thailand

Kom Chad Luek : Finished with the concert SS501 1st Asia Tour Persona in Bangkok, with 5 guys Kim Hyungjoon, Kim Hyunjoong, Heo Youngsaeng, Park Jungmin and Kim Kyujong. Before that..we had chance to do an interview with them so we would like to present these guys’ non-secret story to all the fans.

@ What do you guys think about Thailand that made you come here for this concert?

HJL : Because we like Thai fans, we feel that Thai people are kind, when we talk to them we feel the warmth and there always are good things, so we come for a concert here.
JM : I myself came here personally many times because I like Thailand very much, so I want to have a concert here.

@ Apart from your singing career, are you guys working on anything else?
HJL : Actually each of our members are all busy with schedules. As for me, after I’m done with Boys over Flower, now I’m filming a new drama (!!!!!) I think you’ll probably be able to watch it soon. For Jungmin, he’s doing some drama and now is a CEO of his Internet shopping mall. Hyungjoon is a Radio DJ and he is now joining the Progamer show. Kyujong is also having a drama while Youngsaeng is more focus on music path.

@ For the past 5 years, what are the impressions in your mind?
YS : Truthfully, lots of things happened in the past 5 years, and I called them all impressions for me.
HJL : Mmmm…I also think like YS since there are so many things happened for remembering. For me especially when I had (a car) accident in Jeju Island, is another unforgettable memory.

@ About you guys’ spec. in girls?
HJL : I like the person whom I can feel at ease staying with. I am a person who drink, so if the girl I see could drink, it would be nice so we can also sit and talk.
KJ : I like an innocent girl who is well-behaved, and not spending too much.
HJB : I don’t like girl who nags a lot…must be someone that I’m comfortable with. Not fuss up with me too much and let me be myself.
JM : I like girl that’s lively, can make me laugh all the time we’re together.
YS : I like well-behaved girl who is really feminine. And also has her cute side.

The concert atmosphere at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani on Saturday 13th February. The fans all are so much enjoyed. SS501 kicked off their show with “Déjà vu” before continuing on singing and dancing for 5-non-stop-songs, and break with some talk in Korean which was special because there was an interpreter who translated their word all along without having to read subtitles. Then Hyungjoon was the first one to show his solo performance in white attire with “Hey G”. Followed by Kyujong who came up and made the fans’ hearts skipped a beat then melt with his dance move from “Wuss up” and “Never let you go”.

The guys sang “Because I’m stupid” which received such biggest screaming cheers from the fans since this song is from the hit series “Boys over flower”. And to the most surprise, when Jungmin sang “Rak Ther” (original sung by Tor Saksith Vejsupaporn) with his good Thai pronunciation, made the fans overwhelmed with the song and sang along with him. Youngsaeng came with “You are my heaven” and superbly with “Find”. While Hyunjoong made the fans all screaming with his sexy preview video, and also the intimate dance with the dancer in “Please be nice to me”.

“Fan Song” was the song that SS501 wrote as present for the fans. And the top-chart hit song “Love lIke This” was also sung in the concert. 2 hours have gone by so fast. SS501 and the dance team ended the moment with “You are my heaven”. The guys came back in comfy tee and water gun, were wet all over. Heard that there would be chocolate throwing , how come we ended up with war of water ? Anyway, this concert finished with the fans’ impress…
