I know a difference. Since you are a star, you have all the best people in the world to take care of you. When people who are not stars look at you, they always praise you because you have a very very flawless skin, because you look very well-groomed, because you look very different from on the television/screen/internet/monitor/whatever, the feeling is so different. People are so swooning and fainting. ^^ But when you recall, they are also a human being, apart from being a star. Usually hollywood & Korean stars give that feeling. Try thinking in their shoes. If you are them, people will think the same way of you too.
That's why when k-stars get to your country, so many vye to look at your beauty, most of the time, males. They have such high market value. And you see them from afar, some feeling like......want to touch, but cannnot touch. "So near yet so far." Sometimes you feel and understand it. So badly. Agree fellas'? Monkey is scratching ^-*
